that due to Rondon turning 30 in September, they are only willing to spend £12million on the striker despite his excellent form this season. Newcastle want to sign a player with potential re-sale value.

The powerhouse striker has been superb for the Toon. He has scored 10 goals in 27 league and cup outings, which is impressive given Newcastle struggle to find the back of the net. He has also created five more in assists.

Newcastle fans are desperate to see their club signing but are frothing at the mouth on Twitter, after hearing of the latest report that suggests Ashley is unwilling to spend £4.5million more on Rondon.
