Newcastle fans delighted as Lucien Favre is linked as Bruce replacement
Newcastle fans have reacted to the recent Favre links.
Lucien Favre has been out of a job since he parted ways with Borussia Dortmund in December 2020.
However, he’s now being linked with a move to Newcastle United.
The Swiss gaffer is the favourite to become the new regime’s first hire as Steve Bruce faces the axe.

Favre is a well-respected man within the footballing world.
During his time at Dortmund he worked with a variety of some of the world’s most talented players.
He gave Erling Haaland his debut at Borussia Dortmund.
The Norwegian striker even claimed upon signing for the Bundesliga club that he was ‘so excited’ to work with him ().
Now, though, Favre could be set to swap the passionate yellow wall for the equally vibrant Gallowgate.

The Geordies have wanted Steve Bruce out for a long time and now it looks like they’ll get their way.
The next few years are now looking increasingly optimistic for the Magpies.
Billions of pounds are now at the club’s finger tips and Amanda Stavely has promised investment into the squad, stadium and training ground.
One key aspect of the rebuild in the Northeast will be getting a manager in to oversee it.
Favre has the capabilities to do that and can be the man to start the Newcastle revolution.
The fans certainly think so and will be keen to see him appointed.
In truth, though, many fans will be desperate to see Bruce gone, no matter who rocks up in his place.
