Report: Newcastle could blow two clubs out of the water to land ‘brilliant’ £480k-a-week international
Newcast🐲le United haven’t given up hope of signing Philippe Coutinho this summer, with reporting that the Magpies could look to move again for the♕ Brazilian.
Coutinho is currently enjoying a productive spell on loan at Aston Villa. He was a surprise signing by Steven Gerrard in January and he has impressed so far in the Midlands. However, claims that Coutinho remains on Newcastle’s r🅷adar and should Eddie Howe want a marquee signing, the owners at St James’ Park could back him.

It’s claimed that Villa are unsure𒅌 on taking on Coutinho’s massive wages full time. As reported on previously, Coutinho earns around £480k-a-week in Barcelona. Naturally, that’s a figure Villa will have no interest in parting ways with.
Coutinho, who has been lauded as ‘brilliant’ for his performances back in England, has been linked with a move to Arsenal as well recently. Interestingly for Newcastle, it was only a few weeks back that reports claimed Coutinho had no interest in 🔯moving to Newcastle. However, with their Prꦚemier League status all but secured and big money behind them, Eddie Howe will hope to tempt the former Liverpool man.
TBR’s View: Coutinho Needs To Drop Wages Wherever He Goes
Surely nobody is paying Coutinho ༺nearly half a million a week in England. That puts him above some of the very best in the entire league, including players like Salah and D🏅e Bruyne.
Coutinho needs to get his entourage to drop such demands if he wants to seal a permanent move back to England this summer. Villa have looked a good fit for him and Gerrard has got him playing well. But there’s onl🙈y so long a club will go paying that sort of money𒐪.
Ultimately, while Coutinho is a fine player, his wages are too big. Something w꧟ill have to give, or he’ll end up going to a club far away from England just for the money.
