Newcastle contact Spurs over one of their ‘major assets’, PIF wants clause added – report
Newcastle United have made contact with Tottenham Hotspur over signing Dele Alli in January, according to .
The Magpies are likely to bolster their ranks in January as they seek to avoid Premier League relegation.
And TEAMtalk claims Newcastle have made initial enquiries over signing the Spurs playmaker on loan.

In addition, the outlet claims the Magpies want the option to buy Alli if they retain their Premier League status.
Alli used to be a regular for Tottenham and for England, but has been struggling in recent years.
The 25-year-old has clocked up 265 appearances for Spurs and 37 England caps.
However, Alli has been out of the picture for club and country for a while now.
Last season, the playmaker struggled for game time under former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho.
Indeed, he was reportedly close to leaving in January amid links with Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain.

Earlier this term, Nuno Espirito Santo reinstated Alli back to the starting XI, and he did well initially.
However, this didn’t last, and Alli soon found himself warming the bench once again, with the odd cameo.
Antonio Conte hasn’t been giving him much game time either.
Despite Alli’s downturn in form, there’s no doubt he’s a high-quality player.
“As a manager, he should be one of your team’s major assets,” Glenn Hoddle wrote in last month.
“When Dele gets into the box, he is a wonderful player.”
