Newcastle considering £42m bid for centre-back tipped to become ‘one of the best defenders in the world’

Newcastle United are in need of bolstering their defence this summer with Sven Botman remaining absent through injury.

Eddie Howe🍬‘s side will not need to consider European football for next season after narrowly missing out through their seventh-placed finish.

But that does not mean Newcastle༺ do not need to bolster their squad this summer with injuries riddling their 2023/24 campaign.

Defence is an area which needs addressing as Howe is currently going into pre-season with just Fabian Schar and Lloyd Kelly fit at centre-back.

🌸It now seems Newcastle are not just looking to add to their squad, but they are considering a big money move for one of Europe’s most in-demand centre-backs.
