Newcastle co-owner reacts on Twitter to reports 56-year-old has rejected club after talks
Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi has tak✱en to Twitter to react to reports claiming that Michael Emenalo had rejected the chance to become the Magpies’ director of football.
Newcastle are continuing their search as they look to fill that position. And it was suggested that Emenalo – who previously worked at Chelse🐽a as their technical director – was the leading candi൩date.

that the 56-year-olꦦd had been supportive of the Magpies appointing Eddie Howe as Steve Bruce’s𒈔 successor as the club’s new manager.
However, their report claimed that Emenalo had subsequently rejected the chance to take the role at St 🐈James’ Park.

It was clearly portrayed as a big blow for Newcastle. The January transfer window is just around the corner. that the Nigerian had even travelled to Saudi Arabia for talk🥂s with the club’s owners.
But perhaps talks never got far enough for an offer t♎o be made.
Ghodoussi has taken to Twitter on Sunday to claim that Emenalo was neꩵver actually offered the gig on Tyneside…
Contrary to a newspaper report, Michael Emenalo was never offered the job of Sporting Director or Director of Football at Newꩲcastle United.꧙

Newcastle never making offer for Emenalo makes better reading for fans
Of co🌃urse, it would be better news for Newcastle fans if Emenalo did not receive an offer in the first place. That would sugജgest that the club’s hierarchy have not suffered a significant setback.
Obviously, it is not ideal for the position to still be vacant. But the Newcasꦓtle board may argue that everything remains in hand.
It would certainly be a lot more difficult to put that point across if Emenalo w🎀as the one to reject an offer🥀 from the Magpies.
