Newcastle can get over January disappointment with signing of Geoffrey Kondogbia
La Liga outfit Valencia have told Geoffrey Kondogbia that he can leave the club this summer and Newcastle United should be all over the news.
the midfield battering ram is being offloaded along with Dani Parejo and Francis Coquelin.
Newcastle tried and failed with a £35 million bid for Boubakary Soumare back in January .
Moving for Kondogbia would help Steve Bruce get over that disappointment and bolster his midfield ranks considerably.

The midfielder signed for Valencia from Inter back in 2017, playing 97 times for the Spanish outfit.
The Magpies could do with some genuine steel in the middle of the park and Kondogbia would be an ideal recruit.
With Valencia owner Peter Lim keen to offload the trio, Newcastle should get the 27-year-old for a reasonable price.
Kondogbia played 25 games in La Liga for Valencia during 2019/20, producing some decent performances.
he has a pass success ratio of 84.9 for the campaign and also claims around three interceptions per game.
Compared with Jonjo Shelvey who currently plays in a similar role, Kondogbia blows him out of the water.
The ex-Liverpool man averages just on the passes ratio and averages just one interception per game.
Of course, there is an argument that Kondogbia and Shelvey are slightly different in their styles but nonetheless it highlights the quality he’d bring.
Busy summer
It could be a busy old time for Newcastle on and off the pitch, with the takeover thought to be pending.
Bruce will probably get time to impress the new board but he will need to hit the ground running.

Following the pending takeover Newcastle’s budget is likely to be extensive.
Adding players like Kondogbia can help him achieve his goals of taking Newcastle up the Premier League.
The three-time Central African Republic international has played for some of Europe’s top clubs and that makes him a born winner.
His experience would be ideal in a relatively young Newcastle dressing room and as a result, Bruce would finally land his midfield enforcer.
