Newcastle United have been heavily linked with a move for AC Milan centre-back Malick Thiaw this summer transfer window.

That offer is expected to be dismissed so they’ll have to up their bid to around £33m to close a deal with the Serie A giants.
Thiaw is considered one of Milan’s most prized assets so they don’t want to lose him on the cheap and will only sanction his sale if a substantial bid arrives.
Newcastle scouted him in Champions League
The report claims that Newcastle scouts have been left really impressed with Thiaw’s performances in the Champions League.
The Tynesiders were particularly influenced by his display against Tottenham Hotspur two seasons ago and now feel he’s ready to take the step up the Premier League despite his youth.
If they’re to land Thiaw’s signature this summer, he could partner Lloyd Kelly, who is stepping in to replace the injured Sven Botman.
