New Raheem Sterling update given as Chelsea and Arsenal hold ‘late talks’ on deadline day
Arsenal were tipped to be busy on deadline day, and they may have one final trick up their sleeve.
Neto is going to join the Gunners on loan from Bournemouth, while there has been chat all day about Raheem Sterling heading to Arsenal.
The trail appeared to go cold on Sterling’s move to Arsenal earlier in the day, but now, the Gunners may have revived this move.
Indeed, according to Ben Jacobs, Arsenal and Chelsea have held late talks about a loan move for Sterling to come to the Emirates.

Arsenal hold late Raheem Sterling talks
According to Jacobs, Arsenal have held late talks about a loan move to bring Raheem Sterling in on deadline day.
Arsenal have been looking for a new attacker for a while. Kingsley Coman was linked this week, but now, Sterling seems the most likely candidate to arrive.
Of course, this deal will be complicated.
Sterling’s wages are massive, but Chelsea are apparently willing to subsidise half of Sterling’s pay packet.
Raheem Sterling the perfect late signing
As late signings on deadline day go, they don’t get much better than this for Arsenal.
Sterling could be a perfect signing for the Gunners.
He’s a versatile attacking player who can play on either wing, and he knows Mikel Arteta very well from his time at Manchester City.
Not only does he know Arteta from his time at City. Sterling has also previously played with Kai Havertz and Jorginho at Chelsea, while Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko were his teammates at Manchester City.
Factor in that Sterling also knows the likes of Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka from his time with England, and you have to imagine it wouldn’t take the Chelsea star long to settle in at Arsenal.
We’re truly into the business end of the transfer window now, and this could be the final blockbuster move of the summer.
