New footage shows Nicolas Jover was fuming after what Arsenal did in the 71st minute vs Brentford

Arsenal have released the latest edition of Bench Cam following Saturday’s win over Brentford – and Nicolas Jover was fuming after one incident.

The moment occurred in the 71st minute of Saturday’s 2-1 victory.

So, what angered Nicolas Jover during Arsenal 2-1 Brentford? Let’s take a look…

Nicolas Jover furious with Arsenal

Well, Arsenal’s set-piece coach has been in the spotlight this season after the Gunners netted a club record amount of goals from dead ball situations.

According to , the north Londoners have scored 24 goals from set-piece situations this season, the most on record for an Arsenal side in the Premier League era.

Despite that achievement, Jover is not resting on his laurels.

Thomas Frank’s side loaded the box and made Arsenal believe a long throw was about to be launched into the box, which meant there were a couple of Brentford players open for a short throw.

That option was taken, with Jover reacting angrily as soon as the short throw happened, which suggests the 42-year-old may have warned Arsenal about this tactic beforehand.

The Bees then swung a cross into the box – where there were now six of Brentford’s tallest players – with Nathan Collins seeing a goal bound effort saved by Aaron Ramsdale, when the Irishman perhaps should have scored.

Small details matter

This one moment could have seen Arsenal go 2-1 down in a crucial game where the Gunners mostly dominated, so you can see why Jover is so obsessed with the finer details.

Fortunately, Ramsdale prevented Collins from taking advantage of Brentford’s throw in tactic, before Kai Havertz secured all three points in the 86th minute with a headed effort of his own.

Given the nature of Jover’s reaction, something tells us Arsenal won’t make this mistake again.
