Neil Warnock predicts who’ll win between Arsenal and West Ham as he shares what he used to text David Moyes

Arsenal will look to keep up the pressure on Premier League leaders Liverpool when they host West Ham United on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Hammers will be desperate to end a poor run of games and drag themselves further away from the Premier League’s bottom three.

Arsenal currently sit eight points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool and can close the gap to five points if they beat West Ham.

Meanwhile, Graham Potter’s charges haven’t won since 14 January, when they beat Fulham at the London Stadium, and are currently 16th in the standings.

Neil Warnock has now predicted who will triumph between Arsenal and West Ham as he also shared what he used to say to David Moyes when he was at the club.

Neil Warnock backs Arsenal to beat West Ham as he says Hammers are really missing Michail Antonio

Warnock revealed that he used to message David Moyes saying how important it was for West Ham to have Michail Antonio available.

Antonio is “the only outlet” in West Ham’s ranks, added Warnock, who said the Hammers have really missed him.

Warnock, speaking on the Seaman Says podcast, then said he “can only see Arsenal winning” the game against Graham Potter’s side.

“You can’t see anything,” said Warnock, suggesting West Ham weren’t going to be in it.

“The only thing about West Ham is I think they are capable of beating anybody on the day, that’s all.

“When David was there I used to I used to say to him, text him, ‘let’s hope Antonio never gets injured’.

“Because he was the only outlet that they had really, and I think they missed him really, you know, that outlet.

“But you can only see Arsenal winning that.”

The latest reports on Michail Antonio’s fitness

Antonio is currently working his way back to fitness after needing surgery on a lower limb fracture following a car accident outside London on 7 December last year.

According to , Antonio is ahead of schedule following rehabilitation work in Dubai.

The outlet quoted a source as saying: “We expect him to play some minutes before the end of the season, but it’s months rather than weeks.”

Those who have seen Mikey in the gym have reported how ‘astonished they are at his progress’, added the report.

Antonio is said to be ‘incredibly driven and determined to pull on the West Ham shirt again before the end of the season’.
