Neil Warnock is convinced Arsenal are about to make bid for £70m player in January
Neil Warnock now believes that Arsenal are about to make a bid to sign Ivan Toney after biding their time in the summer.
Warnock was speaking with Alan Brazil on this morning and shared his belief that Arsenal will shortly make a bid for Toney.

Alan Brazil thought it was a mistake to sign a goalkeeper in the summer, when funds should have been focused on a striker.
But Warnock was confident that Arsenal were simply staying patient in their pursuit.
: “I’m not trying to tell Mikel what to do but I would have thought the money they spent, whatever it is costing [to sign Raya], I would rather have got a centre forward or a goalscorer.
Warnock replied: “I think he is saving his money really. I think he is going to try and get Toney in January. Toney would fit the bill.”
Brazil: “Why didn’t they buy him a few months ago?
“Why didn’t they take a chance and say I know you can’t play for three or four months but I’m going to get you in and get you ready, I understand what you have done but you’re in my plans.”
Warnock: “I think it’s hard to tell the people above you at the club that you are going to spend £100 million but he can’t play for five or six months.
“It’s hard to justify that. You have to say let him come back and see if he’s fit and then we will spend that money. I can understand that.”
Warnock thinks Arsenal will still bid for Toney in January
The discussion about Arsenal’s striking department is now really ramping up ahead of the winter period.
Gary Neville shared his opinion today that Arsenal still need to improve on Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah in their pursuit of the league title.

And those thoughts, even if a little harsh on Jesus, are now shared by many.
Perhaps Ivan Toney’s skill set could massively benefit Arsenal playing alongside their Brazilian.
Of course, it’s clear that Arsenal would benefit from the striker’s arrival regardless.
And some fans may share Warnock’s belief that Arsenal are about to pull the trigger on a deal in January for Toney.
A price tag of around is often mentioned, a sizable sum, but one that may now represent value for Arsenal.
At 27-years-old, Toney could still have his best football ahead of him.
