Neil Harris hails Pablo Hernandez, will appreciate Leeds United injury news

Leeds United take on Cardiff City this weekend, going head-to-head with manager Neil Harris.

The striker is not exactly a popular figure with the Elland Road faithful and he has been discussing his side’s chances against the Championship leaders this week.

The two teams drew 3-3 in the reverse fixture earlier this season and Cardiff will take confidence from that game.

Harris does not however underestimate Leeds and has a high opinion of many of their current squad.

Indeed, one player, in particular, has received glowing praise from the Cardiff boss.

That player is Pablo Hernandez., the Bluebirds boss waxed lyrical about the ‘astounding’ Spaniard.

“He’s a top player. He’s a super player and his physical output is astounding and a player I admire a lot at the level we play at.”

Unfortunately for Leeds, Hernandez will not be featuring.

The veteran playmaker has suffered an injury and will miss the game, with Welsh international Tyler Roberts likely to replace him.

Leeds United have gradually stepped away from their reliance on Hernandez but he will undoubtedly be a big loss for this fixture regardless.

Indeed, Harris will be pleased that the Spanish wizard is not someone his players will have to contend with at the Cardiff City Stadium.
