
Napoli have agreed to terms with Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina and Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain.
According Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, both players have passed their medical. Higuain transferred to Napoli on a fee of €37m while Pepe Reina is on a one-year loan with Partenopei. Reina started 39 games last season with Liverpool as for Higuian he started in 44 games last season with 19 goals and 9 assists.
Former Napoli forward Diego Maradona had some nice words for the Argentinian striker.
“Receiving the news that Pipita is the new Napoli striker makes me doubly overjoyed,” Maradona explained to tuttonapoli.net.
“I am happy for the player, who has always been my pupil. I am certain he’ll give great satisfaction to my fellow Napoli fans who deserve the respect of Italian and European football for being the real example of sport and healthy values.

Higuian will provide much need attack for the Partenopei to help young Italian star Lorenzo Insigne as they departed Edinson Cavani as for goalkeeper Pepe Reina he is filling in for departed Morgan De Sanctis.
