Stephen Warnock names the club who are Aston Villa’s ‘main concern’ in bid to finish in the top four
Aston Villa are managing the Champions League and Premier League pretty well so far and Stephen Warnock has been predicting if they can repeat the feat of getting into the top four this season.
Unai Emery𝓰 has worked miracles at Villa Park to turn them from relegation contenders to Champions League contenders.
🃏For Villa fans and their ambitious owners, this is exactly where they wanted the club to be and after plenty of investment, Emery seems to be delivering.
ꦡHowever, consistency is key when it comes to the Premier League and those top four places. And with Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal all more or less guaranteed to finish as the top three, the race is on for fourth.
And discussing those top four hopes, former player Stephen Warnock has given his take on how things could pan out.

Aston Villa need to be wary of Chelsea challenge in top four bid
🦂Speaking for the about the top four race, former Villa left-back Warnock spoke of Villa’s hopes of making it into the top four once more.
💯And while Warnock feels it’s within reach again, he does have one eye on Chelsea.
♌“His signings were decent over the summer and they’re starting to get players back now – Emi Buendia, Boubacar Kamara, Tyrone Mings – so now they’re getting more squad depth ready to go into that busy period in December and January,” Warnock said.
🔯“I think Aston Villa can finish in the top four, but my main concern for them is Chelsea.”
Key men like Ollie Watkins are key for Aston Villa
ꦦLike any team looking for success, injuries are key and with Aston Villa, it very much feels like they’re going to need key men to stay fit.
Top of the list is star striker Ollie Watkins. The England forward has started the season in fine form yet again and while Jhon Duran﷽ is proving an able deputy, Watkins is a class above.
🐽Should Watkins face any sort of period out injured, then Villa and Emery would be in for a big test.
𝓰Still, as Warnock says here, the squad depth is looking better and while Chelsea also look deep, it could well be a fierce battle when we get to crunch time.
