‘My gut feeling’… After Sinisterra, Phil Hay says Leeds will likely sell £11m player soon

Leeds United still have lots of big-name players on their books.

The Whites were relegated from the Premier League last term, and while many expected a huge fire sale at Elland Road over the summer, there weren’t that many permanent sales this summer with many players leaving on loan instead.

However, this week, Luis Sinisterra was sold permanently to Bournemouth, and there’s been a bit of chat about some other Leeds loanees making permanent switches in the near future.

Speaking on , Phil Hay has been discussing the situation of some of Leeds’ loan players, and he says that his gut feeling is that Jack Harrison will also leave permanently before too long claiming that Everton, and a number of other Premier League clubs, would be keen to take him.

Jack Harrison will likely be sold

Hay shared his verdict on the man’s future.

“This was an easy one to deal with because Bournemouth were keen to keep Sinisterra in the same way Everton would be keen to keep Jack Harrison, but not if they go down, that one won’t happen, but other mid-table Premier League clubs would take Harrison as well, so my gut feeling is that he will go and they will pull in some money from that one,” Hay said.

Don’t need him

As good as Harrison has been for Leeds over the years, selling him this summer won’t be a huge loss.

The emergence of Crysencio Summerville this season has been incredible, while Georginio Rutter, Dan James and Willy Gnonto have all done fantastic jobs on the flanks for Leeds this season.

If there’s any position that Leeds don’t really need to address this summer, it’s the wings, and while Harrison is a top player, he’s not necessarily someone Leeds are desperate to have back in their squad at this moment in time.
