‘My God’, ‘6-0 tonight’: Some Spurs fans erupt over ‘awesome’ news ahead of Vitesse clash

A number of Spurs fans have waxed lyrical over the of Antonio Conte taking charge of Tottenham tonight.

Spurs sacked Nuno Espirito Santo on Monday and appointed Conte the following day.

The 52-year-old has – with an option to extend – following talks with the club’s hierarchy in London on Monday.

Conte subsequently oversaw his first Tottenham training session earlier this week at Hotspur Way.

However, there was some uncertainly as to who would be taking the Spurs reins against Vitesse in the Europa Conference League.

Conte has been waiting for his visa to be approved so he could officially take charge of Tottenham against the Dutch outfit.

Now, Spurs have that “Antonio and his coaching staff have received their work permits and will take charge” of tonight’s game.

And Spurs fans are buzzing over what they’ve heard:

Spurs currently sit third in their group, three points behind leaders Rennes and two points behind their Dutch opponents.
