“Music to my ears”: Everton fans react to comments from their midfielder

Everton midfielder Allan has claimed he’d like to stay at Goodison Park for “as long as possible” – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter are excited by his comments.

Allan, who joined the Toffees back in the summer for £21.7million () from Napoli, has had a strong first season in English football so far.

The Brazilian enforcer did miss a couple of months through injury midway through the campaign, but on the whole he’s been a big success for manager Carlo Ancelotti, and is part of a squad that may still finish in the European qualifying positions.

With his physicality and quality in front of the backline, he’s added some extra steel to the defensive midfield position.

The experienced 30-year-old star has been well suited to the Premier League, and he’s made it clear with his comments he’s very happy at Goodison Park.

“My thoughts are to remain at Everton for as long as possible. I feel at home here. It’s very early to have this conversation, I know, but I’m really happy here and hope to stay for many years and leave my mark in the hearts of the fans and at the Club,” .

His current deal with the Merseyside clubs runs until 2023.
