‘Much better than Worrall’ – Rangers fans want to see Nikola Katic more often

Rangers defender Nikola Katic celebrated his return to the starting line-up with a goal against Hearts yesterday.

Katic scored Rangers’ third goal shortly after half-time as Steven Gerrard’s men cruised to a 3-1 win at Hearts.

The 22-year-old was recalled in place of Joe Worrall and repaid his manager’s faith with a solid defensive display and a goal.

It was Katic’s third goal of the season and his first in the Scottish Premiership to add to his reputation.

After the game, lots of Rangers supporters felt that the Croatian defender had earned a man of the match accolade.

With Worrall only on loan, many Rangers fans feel it is time to blood Katic into the team on a permanent basis.

Gerrard needs to look at building his squad for next season and Katic could be a key player in the 2019/20 campaign.
