Mousa Dembele and Matt Doherty have sent messages to Eric Dier after the defender decided to leave Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich.

Both Dembele and Doherty seem pleased with the move that Dier, who can also play as a midfielder, has made in the January transfer window.

Eric Dier leaves Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich

Well, Eric Dier has left Tottenham Hotspur for good. The defender has joined Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the January transfer window.

Tottenham on Thursday evening that they have reached an agreement with Bayern. on loan for the rest of the season, with an option to make the move permanent.

The 29-year-old is out of contract at Tottenham in the summer of 2024. The England international was struggling for playing time under Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou this season.

Dier made one start and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this season. At Bayern, the England international will be reunited with Harry Kane, who left Tottenham for the German club in the summer of 2023.

As you can see below, Mousa Dembele and Matt Doherty seem to be pleased for Dier after his move to Bayern.

Both Dembele and Doherty played with Dier at Tottenham. The former was on the books of Spurs from 2012 until 2019, while the latter played for the North London club from 2020 until 2023. He is now back at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Dier made 274 appearances in the Premier League. He scored 12 goals, gave nine assists and kept 86 clean sheets in those games.

Bayern are aiming to win the Bundesliga title yet again and are also looking to clinch in the UEFA Champions League this season.
