Mourinho warns Chelsea off Zouma sale amid continued links to Everton
Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has urged his former club to keep Kurt Zouma amid continued speculation about a return to Everton.
The French defender spent the 2018/19 season on loan Goodison Park and established himself as a fans’ favourite.

Chelsea have been hit with a transfer ban, which is complicating Everton’s pursuit of the player on a permanent basis.
Blues boss Frank Lampard does want to keep the 24-year-old, and in the eyes of Mourinho it’s a no-brainer.
: “I just give an example; Chelsea needs a centre-back – Kurt Zouma! You don’t need to buy, you don’t need to spend.

“Zouma! He’s champion of England, he played for Chelsea, he played for Stoke in the Premier League, he played for Everton in the Premier League, played for France.
“He’s your player, he’s on loan. Where are you going to buy a better player than him? You have him!”
TBR’s view
Everton are still hopeful over Zouma, but Lampard appears very keen to keep the former Saint-Etienne.

Perhaps subconsciously Mourinho’s assessment will see the former England midfielder tighten his grip on the player.
Given Antonio Rudiger’s lack of a proper pre-season, the situation does not look promising for the Toffees.
Perhaps they will need Zouma to force a move if they are to stand any real chance.
