Most Rangers fans impressed with ‘outstanding’ Ross McCrorie performance v Kilmarnock

Rangers played out a 0-0 draw with Kilmarnock yesterday in what was a tight cup affair at Rugby Park. Neither side could find the moment of inspiration to win the game. In the end, Rangers were left rueing James Tavernier’s missed penalty and missed Alfredo Morelos’ power up top.

Plenty of performances from Rangers’ players were simply not up to the standard met frequently this season.

However, one player who just appears to be getting better and better is young defensive midfielder Ross McCrorie.

The 20-year-old star has been having his true breakthrough season this campaign. He has played himself into being a first-team regular since December after patiently biding his time up until that point. But a dip in form from Lassana Coulibaly and Ovie Ejaria’s eventual exit opened up a gap in the first-team that McCrorie has taken with both hands.

Rangers fans love to see an Auchenowie graduate in the first-team ranks. McCrorie is no different. His composure in the middle of the park and ball-winning ability make him a crowd favourite.

If there was ever proof for his impact on the side this is it. Rangers have not lost a single league game McCrorie has played this season, winning 10 and drawing two of his 12 appearances.

No wonder the Ibrox faithful are singing his praises at the moment. Here is some of the best reaction to his display against Steve Clarke’s men…
