Most of the Championship now want to sign ‘outstanding’ Tottenham player after pre-season

Tottenham have a number of players impressing in pre-season right now and one of those players is now wanted by a host of clubs in the league below.

Ange Postecoglou has been happy with what he’s seen from his Spurs side in pre-season and he’s used the time as a way to get his top stars up to speed, while also bedding in younger players.

Indeed, those younger players have been catching the eye as well over the pre-season games.

The likes of Will Lankshear, Mikey Moore, and Lucas Bergvall have all caught the eye of Tottenham fans.

Those three could very much be in and around the first-team picture as well this coming season.

However, another youngster who is impressing is Jamie Donley.

And according to journalist Tom Barclay, Donley is a wanted man.

According to The Sun journalist Barclay, Donley is wanted by League One giants Birmingham City, who are managed by former Spurs coach, Chris Davies.

However, , Barclay also says most of the Championship also want the talented youngster.

The ‘outstanding‘ Donley has been used as a left-back in pre-season and has very much impressed.

Young players always try and grab their chance in pre-season and it looks like Jamie Donley has done his best to do that.

Tottenham journalist Alasdair Gold has admitted to being impressed by Donley over in Korea, while the teenager also caught the eye in playing left-back – a new position for him.

Donley himself has also conceded he may go out on loan, suggesting he is open to whatever the club feel is best for him right now.

“I haven’t been told anything. I’m obviously here at the minute and on tour, so I’ll just keep doing the best I can and then when I come back [to England], I’ll probably find out a bit more of what’s happening,” he said.

“I’m not sure [what I prefer], whatever the coaches think is best for me to be honest, and I trust what they think is right.”

Donley, then, could very much end up with being given a host of clubs to choose from.
