Mohammed Kudus’ ‘ridiculous’ Tottenham debut against Reading leaves fans in agreement

Mohammed Kudus made his Tottenham Hotspur debut in a 2-0 win over Reading.

Tottenham signed Kudus for £55m from West Ham United following several weeks of talks between the two London clubs.

Thomas Frank says he really likes Kudus during his first press conference as Spurs boss, and he will have also liked his performance at the Madejski Stadium.

The Lilywhites’ supporters have been discussing the winger’s first appearance for the North London club as he looked sharp against the League One side.

Tottenham fans were so impressed by Mohammed Kudus against Reading

Mohammed Kudus has very much impressed his new set of supporters following his 45-minute cameo in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt.

Kudus had a hand in both goals for Spurs as his corner was flicked on by Luka Vuskovic and then turned in by Will Lankshear.

The former West Ham star was tasked with taking set-pieces for Frank’s side, and he produced several impressive deliveries.

The 24-year-old then got an assist as he set up Vuskovic with an impressive cut back, but the young Croatian’s finish was quite sublime.

But the winger’s ability on the ball and his dribbling are what wowed supporters the most, as he proved to be a constant threat down the right for Tottenham.

After the match, Spurs fans took to X to hail their new signing’s debut against Reading and are already excited to see more.

One fan claimed: “Mohammed Kudus looked SHARP. Fantastic debut from the Ghanaian, can’t wait to see more from him.”

“I wasn’t expecting anything less, but I’m really impressed with Kudus so far. Not really going to read too much into a pre-season game against a League One side, but you can already see how ready he is to offer his quality,” another Spurs supporter said.

There was further praise for the winger, with one fan adding: “Kudus is already our best attacking player. He has the ‘it factor’, the personality of a star, and the technical and physical attributes to back up the swagger he plays with. Type of player to take the game by the scruff of the neck and make it his.”

Finally, another Spurs said: “Kudus is so strong and fast. Insane upgrade on what we had, thank you, West Ham.”

Thomas Frank thought Mohammed Kudus was ‘so exciting’

Frank was full of praise for Kudus after the 2-0 win in Berkshire, hailing the winger’s display as ‘so exciting’ to watch.

The Danish head coach admitted that his pace and dribbling skills against the Royals showed exactly what he is about as a player.

Frank told SpursOfficial: “We start with Kudus, of course, he is the newest one, I thought he was exciting to watch, he had four, five very good actions where you saw what he’s about.

“You saw his pace, his one versus one skills, the way he can twist and turn going forward, so I think that was a positive.”

Spurs’ newest addition will get his chance to feature again in Lilywhite next Saturday when Tottenham take on Luton Town.
