Mohamed Elneny says Arsenal ‘don’t allow big egos’ while talking about Aubameyang

Arsenal star Mohamed Elneny has claimed that the Gunners don’t allow ‘big egos’ in their squad anymore ahead of the game against Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang‘s Chelsea tomorrow.

The Gabon star has come under fire for his ad on BT Sport ahead of the big game on Sunday. “Arsenal, nothing personal. I’m back.ꦏ I’m blue. I’m ready. Let’s go,” , which just seemed a bit unnecessary.

Elneny,🐼 a tea♒mmate of Aubameyang for a few years, appears to have aimed a subtle dig of his own at the striker now.

Mohamed Elneny says Arsenal ‘don’t allow big egos’ while talking about Aubameyang

In December last year, Mikel Arteta decid꧋ed to axe Aubameyang from the Arsenal squad for a disciplinary breach. The striker didn’t play a single game for the Gunners from that point, and was eventually pushed out of the club in February.

It looks looks Aubameyang hasn’t forgotten about how he was treated by Arteta, but it🌼 has to be 👍said that Arsenal have been a much better side without the Gabon star.

Elneny was asked about Aubameyang and he revealed that all the players were ‘scared’ of Arteta after he axed the club captain. Then, the E🌄gyptian claimed that without ‘big egos’ in the squad, the Arsenal team is extremely strong.

🦹The £5 million () Arsenal midfielder told : “Everyone looked at themselves because [if] Mikel did that to the captain of the team, what is he going to do with another player? This showed that now we can’t play around. Everyone was scared! Everyone is scared with their position because this happened to Aubameyang.

“Of course if anyon🐼e is not the captain of the team, does a small mistake, they are going to have the same problem, and no one needs that problem.”

“We don’t allow big egos. This is the dressing room we have now. Everyone loves each other and everyone works for each other. This is what actua🏅lly makes our squad really strong, because we don’t have egos in the team.”

Elneny is absolutely right.

It was a bold move by Arteta to get rid of his main man, but it was a decision he simply had to m😼ake. Arsenal have 𓃲the youngest team in the Premier League, and giving Aubameyang a free reign would’ve set a very bad example.

It’s interesting that E🐟lneny chose the words ‘big egos’ and specifically claimed that all the players at Arsenal ‘now’ love each other and work hard for one another.

Is he suggesting that wasn’t the case꧂ in t🍸he past? We’ll leave that for you to decide.
