Mohamed Elneny reports could boost Spurs’ hopes amid Ronaldo Vieira interest

that Tottenham Hotspur are one of the teams interested in signing Ronaldo Vieira this summer.

Vieira is one of the players being linked with a move away from Sampdoria during this window. The midfielder arrived in Italy from Leeds United two years ago, and made 20 league starts for the club last season.

However, it appears that he could be on the move. that Spurs are one of a number of clubs to have scouted Vieira in recent times.

It will be particularly interesting to see whether Tottenham manage to win the race to sign Vieira – because, judging by other reports, it may be an Arsenal man who replaces him.

that Sampdoria want to take Mohamed Elneny on loan this season.

Elneny spent last season out on loan. He has been included back in the fold in pre-season however. And he actually impressed many supporters with his Community Shield display.

that Elneny is actually up for sale. The report suggests that Arsenal are looking to raise further funds this summer.

That would suggest that another loan may not appeal to Arsenal. But should no permanent bids come in, they may still welcome the chance to offload his wages for another year.

That may potentially leave Sampdoria in a good position to secure a loan deal. And if that proves to be the case, perhaps they may be more inclined to sell Vieira.

Spurs still need to reportedly see off plenty of competition. But the door should certainly be open for Jose Mourinho’s men should they bid.
