Mo Salah breaks unique Premier League record after Liverpool strike vs Ipswich Town

Mohamed Salah was once again Liverpool’s star man in their Premier League opener against Ipswich Town on Saturday.

The Egyptian maestro turned on the style in the second half to record a goal and an assist as the Reds recorded a 2-0 win in Arne Slot’s first Premier League game in charge of the club.

Liverpool weren’t at their best in the first ൩half and it could even be argued that Ipswich played better football before t🀅he interval.

However, it turned out to be a game of two halves, thanks in no small part to Salah. The 32-year-old unselfishly set up Diogo Jota for the opener and got his name on the scoresheet five minutes later with a clᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚose-range finish.

In doing so, Salah jumped above legends such as Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard and Alan Shearer by bꦚreaking a stunninꦕg record.

Will Mohamed Salah stay at Liverpool?

Salah’s current deal expires in the ꦐs♑ummer of 2026 and he is no closer to signing an extension.

He has constantly been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, but with the Egyptian at the top of his game currently and showing no signs of slowing down despite entering his 30s, it remains to be seen if he’s lured ♏by the pr⛄ospect of a move to the Middle East.
