Mikey Moore was able to do something no other Tottenham player could better in 45 minutes vs Hearts
Tottenham Hotspur cruise to victory on Wednesday night against Hearts of Midlothian in the first of their pre-season friendlies.
Ange Postecoglou‘s men looked incredibly sharp against the Scottish outfit as they sealed a comfortable 5-1 win.
There were some surprising positive displays to come out of the game in Edinburgh with the likes of Djed Spence looking like a player fighting for his future.
But it was a night which was dominated by the Spurs youth prospects with a sensational second half which blew the hosts away.
One of the players to come on at half time was the 16-year-old winger Mikey Moore as he featured from the right.
And the England youth international was able to do something which none of his teammates was able to match.

What Mikey Moore did to impress against Hearts
After showing his potential at youth level, Moore was handed his debut for the first team towards the backend of last season.
Postecoglou clearly is looking beyond Moore’s age with the winger handed the full second half to showcase his talent.
Moore has recently received interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain on the back of his performances at such a young age.
But Spurs will be keen to tie the 16-year-old down to his first professional deal when he turns 17 after what he showed against Hearts.

During the game at Tynecastle, Moore was able to complete two dribbles which no other Tottenham player was able to beat on the night.
Considering the likes of Heung-min Son and Brennan Johnson played in the first half, this shows the influence which Moore had on the game.
It did not take Moore long to also get his name on the scoresheet as his jinking run was capped off with a cool finish.
This is a player playing beyond his years and Spurs will be looking to manage his development carefully for the years to come.
Mikey Moore display vs Hearts in numbers
Moore is a player who could be handed some opportunities this season by Postecoglou with a much busier schedule ahead of the Lilywhites.
Having been selected as part of the second half XI, Moore did not take much time in showing the Australian what he was capable of doing as he flew down Postecoglou’s touchline.
Here is his performance in numbers…
- 45 minutes played
- 33 touches
- 1 goal
- 1 key pass
- 2/2 dribbles attempted
- 2x was fouled
- 5/4 ground duels won
- 90% pass accuracy
Next up for Spurs is a friendly against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday and Spurs fans will surely want to see more of the 16-year-old in the upcoming friendlies.
