Mikey Moore left applauding one Tottenham youngster after seeing his performance against Hearts

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Mikey Moore dazzled once again on Wednesday night in the pre-season friendly win over Hearts of Midlothian.

Ange Postecoglou‘s men made the perfect start to the summer with a big win against the Scottish side in Edinburgh.

Not only were the Tottenham fans treated to five goals, but they also got to witness a stunning second half display from some of their youth prospects.

Funnily enough, the first half XI which was littered with senior players was only able to take a one goal lead into the break.

However, the youngsters really turned it up a notch in the second half after Postecoglou fielded a completely different XI.

And there was one player who Mikey Moore was left staggered by after the full-time whistle.

Mikey Moore was left wowed by Tottenham debutant vs Hearts

Having impressed massively in the Spurs U18s side last season, the 16-year-old winger earned himself his senior side debut late on in the 2023/24 term.

But there were a number of players who were making their debut in the game against Hearts on Wednesday night that also impressed.

The likes of Will Lankshear came on for around 21 minutes and was able to find the back of the net.

Summer signing Archie Gray also made his debut, but there was another player who really caught Moore’s eye.

January signing and summer addition Lucas Bergvall was another debutant on the night as he provided an assist.

After the game, the Swede took to Instagram where he posted an image from the game with the simple caption: ‘Debut’.

And Moore was one of the players to take to the comments to hail the debutant as the 16-year-old replied with a clapping and fingers crossed emoji.

Spurs have been left waiting months to get their first glimpse of the promising 18-year-old midfielder after he signed back in January.

Perhaps a sign of his maturity, Bergvall made the decision to return to Sweden for the remainder of last season before joining Spurs.
