Mikel Arteta wants Thomas Partey to convince ‘the best player at the World Cup’ to sign for Arsenal

Arsenal want Thomas Partey to help them convince his international teammate Mohammed Kudus to join the club.

Kudus has scored twice at the World Cup so far, with both goals coming in a 3-2 win over South Korea, where he won the player of the match award.

That has handed Ghana a huge opportunity to go through if they can beat Uruguay in a repeat of the acrimonious 2010 quarter-final.

After the World Cup, Kudus may have a real decision to make over his future at Ajax, with the winter transfer window just around the corner.

Partey could convince Kudus to sign

As per Gha, Arsenal think they may have an ace up their sleeve when it comes to beating the competition to sign Kudus.

Partey is seen as the man to convince Kudus to the club, amid interest from a host of clubs at home and in foreign leagues.

The report says Arsenal have used the same approach before after Bukayo Saka played a role in the arrival of England teammate Aaron Ramsdale.

Kevin-Prince Boateng has told  that his fellow Ghana international is ‘currently the best player at the World Cup’.

“Kudus is currently the best player at the World Cup,” he said.

“It’s incredible what he can do with the ball. It’s only a matter of time before he moves on to a world-class club after his experience at Ajax.”
