Mikel Arteta should consider 11th-hour bid for Premier League ‘superstar’ who supports Arsenal

Arsenal are still in the market for further reinforcements before the transfer window slams shut on August 30.

Mikel Arteta admitted after the Aston Villa win that his side are a little short and they will try to bring in players if the opportunities arise.

Mikel Merino is on the verge of joining Arsenal but it’s understood that Arteta remains keen on bringing in an attacker.

With that said, The Gunners should consider a Premier League forward who’s started the season in fine form.

Arsenal should consider Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo

Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo has made a brilliant start to the new Premier League season, scoring one whilst assisting as many.

Semenyo, who’s been labelled a ‘superstar’ per , caused Newcastle United all sorts of problems yesterday as his side were held to a score draw at the Vitality Stadium.

The 24-year-old netted eight times in the Premier League last term and is clearly improving year on year, so perhaps Arsenal should test the waters and make an 11th-hour bid for him this week.

Semenyo, via , admitted he loved Arsenal as a kid, so it’s certainly a move that could appeal to him.

The former Bristol City man can operate anywhere across the front line, evincing his terrific versatility – a trait Arteta is a big fan of.

Jamie Redknapp says Antoine Semenyo has got ‘everything’

Speaking on after Bournemouth’s clash against Newcastle, Jamie Redknapp waxed lyrical about Semenyo.

“Bournemouth were certainly the better team and in Semenyo on the right wing, he’s an absolute star and I don’t want to be selling Bournemouth’s player but you’ve got a few days left of that window, I think. He cost £10m from Bristol City, what a great signing he was, he is worth a fortune.

“Elegant, graceful, powerful player, he’s got everything that young man.”
