Mikel Arteta makes exciting Declan Rice claim that will be music to Arsenal fans’ ears
Arsenal are enjoying a superb season and Declan Rice has played a huge role in getting the Gunners to where they are right now.
The Gunners reached the Champions League semi-finals and Rice was instrumental in both of Arsenal’s quarter-final wins over Real Madrid.
The England international scored two of the most beautiful free kicks committed to video in the first leg, in which Arsenal ran out 3-0 winners.
Rice then delivered a midfield masterclass in the second leg that even blew the Spanish media away as the Gunners won 2-1 at the Bernabeu.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has now made a claim about Rice that will be music to Gunners fans’ ears.

Mikel Arteta says Declan Rice role at Arsenal will only become ‘bigger and bigger’
Arteta, speaking at his pre-Ipswich Town press conference, explained how Arsenal signed Rice for more than just his talent – they also loved his character and potential.
The Arsenal boss said Rice is still continuing to learn and suggested that there’s more to come from the £105million man.
“Well, he’s learning more and more,” Arteta told reporters.
“I think performances like he had in this tie against Real Madrid. It just puts the player in a different dimension and that’s why we brought him here.
“That’s why we demand him as well to take more steps and to be more decisive in games because he can do it.
“We’ve been talking about it for the last few weeks. And to be at this stage is not easy. He’s done it two times in a row.
“Now he’s maintaining that level of consistency, belief. And undoubtedly his role will be bigger and bigger.”
Whether Arsenal now owe West Ham more Declan Rice cash after Champions League win over Real Madrid
Many have wondered whether Rice’s heroics in helping Arsenal reach the semi-finals will see West Ham receive more cash from the Gunners in bonus payments.
Unfortunately for the Hammers, they will not benefit financially from what Arsenal achieved in Europe’s elite club competition.
A senior spokesman for West Ham’s board exclusively told after the first leg: “No, we are not due any extra money from Arsenal if they win the Champions League.
“We only get £1million each time they qualify for the Champions League – and a maximum of five times.
“The deal was £100million plus five £1million Champions League qualifications add-on payments.”
