Mikel Arteta left very annoyed with £10k-a-week Arsenal player’s passing in Bournemouth friendly
Although it was generally a positive performance against Bournemouth in the early hours of Thursday morning, Mikel Arteta was frustrated with one Arsenal player.
Arteta named a relatively youthful staꦓrting eleven against a strong Bournemouth side – not far off of Andoni Iraola’s best team.
Myles Lewis-Skelly was handed a chance to prove what he’s learned as an🐎 inverted full-back in꧅ recent months and the likes of Ethan Nwaneri and Salah Oulad M’Hand also got chances in midfield.
Although, as expected, the game had a fairly slow pace – one benefitting of the opening game🔯 o🐠f pre-season.
But it was ultimately Reiss Nelson who🎉 stepped up the speed of things on the left wing, providing an inviting ball for Fabio Vieira to remind everyone of his quality.
TBR Football recently shared that Arsenal are open to offers for Vieira – but p🦩erhaps that stance will now change with newไs that Emile Smith Rowe is nearing an exit.
That being said, although Karl Hein impressed Arteta in goal for Arsenal, the youngster didn’t quite deliv꧑er a complete performance.
Mikel Artea furious with young Arsenal keeper Karl Hein’s passing
Hein has been handed the chance to be Arsenal’s starting goalkeeper in the US owing to both David Raya and Aaron Rams♓dale being on holiday afte✱r the Euros.
And although the 22-year-old broadly took hi๊s chance, Arteta was ‘infuriated’ with the Estonian on the touchline at one point in the first half.

Hein still has a long way to go before his distribution is up to the high standards of A𓄧rsenal – which was seemingly one of the reasons behind Ramsdale’s fall from grace too.
And despite impressing with his shot-stopping ability – even saving two penalties in the shootout🌊, Arteta was furious with Hein’s dec🤪ision-making in possession at times.

Of course, this demonstrates why Hein should leave Arsenal on loan this✱ season, a player who needs to play senior club football.
There’s unlikely tꦗo be any other players in world football who ha♛ve more caps for their country (30) than they do appearances at first team level in club football.
That’s something that needs to change next season, and Hein’s plan to leave on loan explains why Arsenal continue to bid for Dan Bentley.
