Mikel Arteta is ‘definitely’ going to put ‘outstanding’ player back in his Arsenal team tonight – journalist

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is set for a start tonight when the Gunners get their Europa League campaign underway in Zurich.

Nketiah has come on as a and is awaiting a first start.

He signed a new contract over the summer after a long wrangle and at the centre of that discussion was his gametime.

Journalist Charles Watts said on that Nketiah will ‘definitely’ start tonight, and it would be no surprise if the Europa League was a source of gametime this season.

Arsenal set to start Nketiah v Zurich

“There is definitely going to be rotation. There are going to be opportunities for players who have not had many minutes so far this season but there will not be 11 changes,” he said.

“Matt Turner, for example, I’m fully expecting to see him get his debut in goal. Marquinhos on the right wing, he looks like he could get at least either a first start or certainly some minutes off the bench.

“Eddie Nketiah will definitely start. There’s no doubt about that. It’s going to be interesting.”

The 22-year-old, , has to show his quality this season after signing a new long-term deal.

He will hope for more gametime and not just in the Europa League to show Arteta what he can do despite the arrival of Gabriel Jesus, who has been so impressive so far.

A goal on his first start of the season would go some way to pushing for more gametime as Arsenal look to get off to a winning start.
