Tomiy𓆏asu has been on the sidelines with a calf injury, and is yet to play for Arsenal this year, having also been away♊ on Asian Cup duty.

On Friday, Arteta did suggest that a number of injured pla𝐆yers could be in contention to return to action in Saturday night’s meeting with Newcastle.

Thomas Partey is apparently “really close” to a return, while Gabriel Jesus has “done a few things” and Oleksandr Zinchenko isꦐ “not far” either.

Howe🌃ver, on the subject of the Japan international, the Arsenal boss said, as per : “Tomiyasu still a little bit more”.

Arsenal can afford to take their time with Takehiro Tomiyasu recovery – TBR View

It’s a shame to hear that Tomiyasu doesn’t s🎉eem to be available just yet. The 25-year-old is a quality player and a key member of the Arsenal squad.

At the same time, Arsenal aren’t missing him quite as much as they might’ve done in the past, thanks to Jakub Kiwior’s upturn in form on✃ the left.

And with Zinchenko closing in on a return꧋ to action, Arteta can afford to take a little more time with Tomiyasu’s fitness.

Wit🦹h the season now heading towards the business end, it’ll be good to see the 𓄧‘‘ defender return to action fully fit and hopefully help Arsenal achieve glory this term.
