Mikel Arteta blown away by how hard 23-year-old Arsenal player has worked
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given his verdict on Emile Smith Rowe.
Arteta has been hugely impressed by how well Smith Rowe has done behind the scenes to get fit.
So, what has Mikel Arteta said about Arsenal winger Emile Smith Rowe? Let’s take a look.
Mikel Arteta praises Arsenal winger Emile Smith Rowe
Well, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been raving about Emile Smith Rowe. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is back in the squad after recovering from injury.
Smith Rowe returned to . The 23-year-old has recovered from a knee injury.
The England international is part of the Arsenal squad for the UEFA Champions League match against PSV on Tuesday.
There is a chance that Smith Rowe could start for the Gunners. It would be his first appearance since October.
Ahead of the game, Arteta has spoken highly of Smith Rowe and has noted how hard the Englishman has worked behind the scenes to get back to full fitness.

Arteta told Arsenal’s about Smith Rowe: “What he has been through is part of the experience that 95 per cent of footballers have to go through.
“That’s difficulties, injuries, setbacks and different kind of performances too. He’s back now, and he can use that in a very powerful way, he will be a much better player. I think he’s on the right path, the way he’s done his rehab, I haven’t seen it like he’s done it this time.
“I think you have seen how his team-mates reacted to him being back with the team, which is a really positive thing as well. The more we can give him chances to play, the better we will be. So let’s hope that’s going to be the case.”
Emile Smith Rowe needs to think of his Arsenal future
In my view, Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe needs to think about his future. I believe that the 23-year-old has to seriously consider leaving the Gunners, if not in January 2024 then in the summer of 2024.
I do not think that Smith Rowe is going to become a regular in the Arsenal starting lineup anytime soon. There is speculation that the Gunners are willing to sell him.
There is simply too much competition for places in the Gunners’ team. Martin Odegaard is the main playmaker. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are the two main wingers.
