Middlesbrough vs Leeds confirmed lineups: Casilla and Berardi start
Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has been forced into making one change for their clash with Middlesbrough, with Kalvin Phillips missing out for Gaetano Berardi. But there is more positive news concerning Kiko Casilla.
Wednesday’s game will have major implications at both ends of the Championship table. Leeds will move at least five points clear of the chasing pack with a win.

Jonathan Woodgate’s men meanwhile, could theoretically fall into the bottom three with a heavy defeat. Admittedly, that eventuality looks highly unlikely. Nevertheless, they will be wary of falling closer to the relegation zone.
The promotion-chasers went into the game with two major injury concerns.

Phillips was taken off during the first-half against Reading. The midfielder stayed down after making a robust challenge. And while he was initially able to carry on, he was soon replaced by Gjanni Alioski before the break.
Bielsa confirmed that Casilla injured his hand during Saturday’s win (via ). The Spaniard made an outstanding save late on to ensure that the Whites held on for the three points.
And he has done enough to prove that he is ready to play against Woodgate’s side. He keeps his place ahead of Illan Meslier.
But unfortunately for Leeds, Phillips has not been passed fit. So Gaetano Berardi has come in for his first appearance since January, with Ben White presumably pushing into midfield.
Here is how the two sides lineup at the Riverside Stadium…
: Pears; Howson, Moukoudi, Shotton, Friend; Coulson, Saville, Clayton; Fletcher, Wing, Tavernier
: Casilla; Ayling, Berardi, Cooper, Dallas; White, Klich, Hernandez; Costa, Harrison, Bamford
