Middlesbrough fans react on Twitter to reports Spurs want Djed Spence
A number of Middlesbrough fans have taken to Twitter to comment on that Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho is interested in Djed Spence.
It would be no surprise to see Spurs sign a new right-back in either the current or summer window. Serge Aurier has struggled during his time as first-choice. Japhat Tanganga has shown that he is able to play in that position, but he is also capable of playing in the middle.

And it appears that Mourinho has his eye on the Boro youngster. The London Evening Standard reports that the Spurs boss has been aware of the 19-year-old since his time on Fulham’s books.
The teenager came through alongside the Tottenham boss’ son, and the Portuguese has kept an eye on his progress ever since.

that Boro hope to agree a new long-term deal with Spence, who Mourinho made sure to congratulate on his performance in the recent FA Cup tie between the two sides.
Spurs fans may be intrigued by the links with Spence given his lack of experience. But perhaps they can take some encouragement from how a number of Middlesbrough supporters have reacted to the reports.
Plenty have expressed their frustration about the links. They are clearly worried about the prospect of losing Spence in the near future.
Here is what some of the supporters made of the reports linking Spence with a potential move to Tottenham…
