Middlesbrough fans blown away by display from on-loan Everton attacker
On-loan Everton attacker Yannick Bolasie was in action on Tuesday night for Championship club Middlesbrough – and some Boro fans on Twitter raved about his performance for them.
Bolasie, 31, is out of contract with Everton this summer, and it would be a surprise if he has a future at Goodison Park after being excluded from Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
The versatile forward was sent out on loan in January to give him first-team football, joining Championship outfit Boro until the end of the season.
He’s quickly given them some extra firepower going forward, and played during Boro’s 2-0 league win last night over Preston North End.
The skilful wide player managed one assist during his hour on the pitch, as he builds up his match fitness.
Bolasie has the flexibility to play anywhere across the frontline, with his pace and unique trickery making him a real handful for defenders.
It’s never quite happened for him on Merseyside and he’s now on his fourth loan spell away from Everton, but his situation looks likely to change soon when his contract with the Toffees expires in the summer.

A selection of Boro supporters on social media were massively impressed with Bolasie’s latest display in the Championship.
Some claim they’d love to sign him on a permanent basis, and as it stands he’d be available on a free transfer in the summer.
Here are some Boro fans discussing Bolasie’s midweek performance:
Good hour of football from Bolasie that.

Spirited match from the Boro. Great to see Tav and Fletch back. Consecutive clean sheet for the back 4 and Betts too. Bolasie has so much unbelievable sauce give that man a contract

Kebano’s best game in a boro shirt by far. Glad to be proven wrong with Hall he is hitting some great form. Bolasie makes everyone around him up their game. If we win at Millwall we give ourselves a great chance coming into the final stretch. It’s the hope that kills you 😅

We'd be in the playoff spots if we'd have got Bolasie on the summer deadline day, quality player
