‘What a hero’: Middlesbrough fans revel in performance of Britt Assombalonga
Middlesbrough enhanced their promotion chances yesterday with a solid 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.
Tony Pulis’ side were the better team or large parts of the contest and kept up the chase on their rivals for a place in the Premier League.
Britt Assombalonga netted the only goal of the game and he is a man firmly in form.
The man signed for £15 million from Nottingham Forest in 2017 nearly left the Riverside Stadium in January.

Since the window closed he has netted three goals in four games, with Assombalonga seemingly back in his manager’s plans.

At 26-years-old there is every reason to suggest that Assombalonga can go on and play in the Premier League if he keeps up his prolific nature.

Good 3 points, Blackburn were awfull today gave the ball away something terrible in the first half, i see some people saying fletcher was good.. got in some good positions but was wasteful at every opportunity, goal included, assombalonga made it a goal!
