Michy Batshuayi could be the man to keep Aston Villa in the Premier League
Aston Villa are being linked with a move for Chelsea fringe player Michy Batshuayi.
, the Midlands club are considering making a play for the Blues’ Belgian striker on loan, with Wesley out for the season.
The Brazilian has sustained knee ligament damage, he is facing a possible nine-month lay-off.

It was widely thought that Villa would have dipped into the transfer market anyway, but Wesley’s injury means it is now near-certain the club will sign a new number nine.
Batshuayi – a £33 million signing from Marseille in 2016 () – is currently playing second fiddle to Tammy Abraham at Stamford Bridge and may well be tempted by the idea of regular minutes at Villa Park.
Perhaps Villa will hope Abraham can put in a good word for them, having spent the 2018/19 season on loan there.
TBR’s view – Batshuayi can keep Villa up
The form and development of Abraham has seen Batshuayi have to contend with a reduced role at Chelsea, but there is no doubting his talents as a striker.

He has proven himself at Premier League level, scoring crucial goals in the Antonio Conte side that stormed to the 2016/17 title.
His time at Valencia didn’t go so well, but he showed fantastic form on loan at Borussia Dortmund and impressed also at Crystal Palace.
If Villa get any hint Frank Lampard will let him go – and that’s potentially an issue with Olivier Giroud reportedly open to leaving – then Dean Smith should be all over. It might well just save them this season.
