that Steven Gerrard’s comments about Alfredo Morelos is a tactic from the manager to prevent the board from selling the Colombian goal machine leaving Rangers in the January window.
Morelos, 23, has been in stunning form for Rangers this season. Ruling out his disciplinary problems, the former HJK Helsinki striker has netted 20 goals in all competitions during 24 matches. He has a contract until the summer of 2023.
Rumous about Morelos exit came after the striker told Colombian outlet Radio Blu that he is open to leaving Rangers in January, and would consider a move to a bigger club in a more competitive league.

If Rangers have any chance of toppling Celtic and preventing Neil Lennon’s side from winning the Scottish Premiership for a ninth consecutive season, they must keep Morelos. It is as simple as that.
The majority of Rangers fans – although sad – will accept the fact that Morelos is likely to leave Ibrox next summer, if a fee similar to Moussa Dembele’s £19.7million exit from Celtic comes in for the Colombia international.
