Michael Keane lavishes praise on Everton newbie Allan after superb Tottenham debut
Michael Keane has showered praise on his new Everton teammate Allan, with the Brazilian starring on his debut against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Toffees started their 2020/21 Premier League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Jose Mourinho’s side.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin grabbed the game’s only goal, turning in Lucas Digne’s cross with a fine header.
Everton were full value for their win, and the three new signings Allan, Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Rodriguez all gave brilliant accounts of themselves.
But it was defensive midfielder Allan who Keane picked out for praise.
He said of the South American (): “He is a defender’s dream. He is always there on the striker’s toes, winning the ball back.

“He does a lot of running, puts in a lot of tackles. It is great to have him there.
“He was class, as were all the other lads, including those who came on.”
Allan put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Goodison Park, with the fee reportedly £25 million including add-ons ().
TBR’s View – Allan the barrier Keane and Mina have needed
Allan was excellent against Spurs and it is clear what his game will be about this season.

The dynamo is in there to snuff out fires and get the ball forwards, and his influence promises to be massive for the Toffees.
Keane is right, players like Allan make the jobs of defenders so much easier, and he could breathe new confidence into the Englishman and Yerry Mina.
