Michael Edwards is now pushing to sign £342m player for Liverpool
Michael Edwards is now pushing to sign an outstanding talent for Liverpool this summer.
Despite an impressive 2023/24 campaign so far under Jurg𓃲en Klopp, the Reds are ✃still short in some areas, and could do with more magic from the 44-year-old in the transfer market.
Edwards is now back at Anfield working as CEO of Foot🎃ball under💮 FSG – with Richard Hughes hired to fulfil the Director of Football role.
The pair are said to have a strong relationship, and according to reports in Spain, there is already a player Liverpool are pushing to sign this summer…
Liverpool pushing to sign Mikayil Faye
Well, Liverpool seem likely to sign a new central defender this summer, with Joel Matip expected to depart when his contract expires in July.
The Reds are already making plans to replace the Liverpool No.32, as believe Michael Edwards is pushing to sign Barcelona wonderkid Mikayil Fay♔e.

According to the Spanish news outlet, Barcelona do n🅺ot want to sell the 19-year-old and plan to include him in the senior setup ne🌸xt season.
However, B𒐪arcelona’s financial issues mean a sale can never be ru✱led out for the right price, with a number of Europe’s elite clubs appearing to think that way.
Mundo Deportivo believe Manchester United and Bayern♒ Munich are also꧅ pushing to sign Faye – who has a (£342m) release clause at Barcelona.
LOSC Lille, AS Monaco and OGC Nice are also trying to sign the central defender, who was th🐟e subject of a €9m (£8m) bid from🗹 an unnamed club in January, according to the report.
Tottenham are also said to be fans of Faye.
19-year-old should move to Anfield
In our view, moving to Anfield could do📖 wonders for Faye’s career🧜.
The Senegal international would be able to learn from Virgil van Dijk at Liverpool – arguably one of the best defenders of his genera♌tion – which should increase the chances of this precocious teenager realising his immense potential.

Furthermore, Faye probably has a better chance of regular football at Liverpool than he does at Barcelona, where the likes of Jules Kounde, R🍌onald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi are already in the centre-back department.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situa🎶tion, as Edwards pushes to sign the﷽ Senegalese wonderkid.
