Micah Richards shocked after hearing a ‘staggering’ stat about Arsenal this week

Micah Richards has had his say on a stat he heard about Arsenal following their win over Porto in the Champions League this week.

Arsenal are one of the best teams in Europe right now, aren’t they?

The North Londoners are currently on top of the Premier League table, having scored the most goals (70) and conceded the least so far (24).

Mikel Arteta has built an incredible team, and although Manchester City are the favourites to win the Champions League and the Premier League, Arsenal are in the running for both.

Arsenal’s win over Porto on Tuesday meant they qualified for the quarter-final of the Champions League for the first time in 14 years.

Most Gunners fans knew that statistic, but a shocked Micah Richards has revealed he had no idea.

Speaking on the , the pundit said: “We talked about stats and all that sort of things.

“I didn’t know myself that Arsenal have not been to a quarter-final for about 14 years, which was staggering for me to hear that!”

Arsenal can get their revenge on Bayern Munich

Since 2013, Arsenal have faced Bayern Munich on eight occasions in the Champions League and have managed to pick up just two wins.

The last three meetings between the two sides have all ended in defeats for the Gunners, with an aggregate score of 15-3.

Arsenal fans still feel the pain of those losses, but in what is a fantastic turn of events, they will go into the two legs in April arguably as the favourites.

Mikel Arteta‘s side are in a much better position than Bayern Munich, and if they play at their full potential, they will knock the Germans out of the competition and get their revenge.
