Micah Richards says Leicester have a player in their ranks who’s ‘just ridiculous’ how good he is
Leicester City star Jamie Vardy has been named one of the top bargains in Premier League history by Match of the Day.
The 34-year-old became the most expensive signing from a non-league side in 2012, when he joined the Foxes from Fleetwood Town for a reported £1million .
That sum now looks like one of the top bargains in football history, considering just how well Vardy has done for Leicester since his arrival.

In 342 competitive Foxes appearances, the England international has registered 144 goals and 59 assists, helping the King Power side win the Premier League title in 2016.
He’s showing no signs of slowing down either, winning the Premier League Golden Boot last season with 23 goals, and this season he’s on 12 goals and seven assists in the league.
Micah Richards named Vardy the second best bargain signing in the Premier League, behind Eric Cantona, while Alan Shearer had him at top spot.
“He probably should be number one,” Richards told . “He’s always played the same way, all the way through his career, and that is so important.
“Ilove the fact he still runs in behind, but he makes intelligent runs and he lures you into a false sense of security.
“He tried to outpace me once when I was at Villa, so I just shoved him off the ball, and gave him a little wink.
“After the game, he just winked back at me because they’d won. He is just ridiculous – I won the battle up to the 70th minute but he just keeps going. He is relentless.
“He was absolutely unreal in the title-winning campaign too.”
