Micah Richards says 44-year-old boss would be brilliant as Liverpool’s next manager
Liverpool have been linked with a number of managers recently, and Micah Richards seems to be a big fan of one of them.
We’ve entered the final two months of the season, and these eight weeks will be Jurgen Klopp‘s last as Liverpool’s manager.
The German will be leaving the club this summer, and FSG, Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes are on the hunt to find a suitable candidate to succeed him.
Richards is convinced that one of Liverpool‘s managerial candidates will be a huge hit at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp is one of the best managers Liverpool have ever had.
The German took the Reds job when they were in a terrible position. Brendan Rodgers‘ final season was a disaster, and the club’s owners believed Klopp was the man to fix things.
That decision has proved to be an incredible one in Liverpool’s history. Klopp has transformed the Reds into one of the best clubs in the world, which is why his departure is such a big blow.
Liverpool are searching for a new manager to succeed the German at Anfield, and several names have been linked with the job since.
On top of Michael Edwards’ wish list is Roberto De Zerbi of Brighton and Hove Albion, and Micah Richards is convinced he will do a great job at Liverpool if he replaces Klopp this summer.
He said about the 44-year-old on the : “Yeah, I like it. I think he’s a brilliant manager. His record against Liverpool is very good. I think with the last four games prior to this game, he had been unbeaten if I remember correctly.
“He’s brave in the way he approaches the game. How many teams go to Anfield and just sit in? Brighton didn’t do that at all. I thought they were outstanding in the way they approached it. A little bit unlucky at times and maybe a lack of quality in certain areas. But, they had a go.
“Yes, I like him. I remember him from Sassuolo in Serie A. I was like this team play attractive, great football. Yeah, I think if he was to be given a chance, he’d do a really good job there.
“I really do believe that.”

Jurgen Klopp is one of the most respected managers in world football.
Yes, a few people get upset over some of the Liverpool boss’ antics on the touchline and certain comments in front of the media, but nobody can deny he is among the best managers ever.
De Zerbi has the potential to become an elite manager one day. That’s why he has been heavily linked with the Liverpool job over the last few weeks.
We don’t know what Liverpool fans think about De Zerbi, but we’re sure they will love what the Italian once said about Klopp.
“I love Klopp,” he told in October 2023.
“He can do what he wants because I have a big respect and I consider him one of the best coaches in the world. I like his behaviour, and when he says something, 99 per cent I agree with him.”
