Micah Richards and Gary Lineker predict where Arsenal will finish in the Premier League this season
Arsenal have enjoyed a solid season so far as they remain firmly in the Premier League title picture and are also doing well in the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
Arsenal have done well despite a spate of injuries during the course of the season, with several first-team players still out.
Bukayo Saka, Raheem Sterling, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White are currently all on the sidelines due to injury.
Micah Richards and Gary Lineker have now predicted where they think Arsenal will finish in the Premier League this season amid their injury issues.

Micah Richards and Gary Lineker think Arsenal will finish second
Richards believes that Saka’s injury will prove “too much” for Arsenal with regards to their title hopes, and backed them to finish second.
“I remember at the start of the season we talked about key players, didn’t we,” Richards said to Lineker and Alan Shearer on The Rest is Football.
“And we talked about (Erling) Haaland getting injured, that could be the difference, or Rodri getting injured…
“I just think with Arsenal now, Saka being injured for… looks like there’s different reports, some are saying a month, some are saying two months, some are saying a little bit longer than that.
“I think if Arsenal would have had a fit squad from start to finish, I’d agree with Alan (saying) it’s not over yet.
“But losing Saka – he’s too much for this team, he’s got too much responsibility, so unfortunately I think they’re going to finish second.”
Lineker added: “Yeah, I still think they’ll finish second, which is what I actually predicted.
“I think Saka, if you have an operation, you don’t come back in a month. Let’s wish him a speedy recovery because he’s such a wonderful footballer.”
What Mikel Arteta and Gabriel Martinelli have said about Bukayo Saka injury
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta claimed in late December that Saka is likely to be out for “more than two months” after having surgery on his injured hamstring.
The 23-year-old went off in the first half of Arsenal’s 5-1 Premier League win at Crystal Palace on 21 December and left the stadium on crutches.
“He had a procedure,” Arteta said after Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Ipswich, as per . “Everything went well, but unfortunately he will be out for many, many weeks.
“I said many weeks, so I think it will be more than two months. I don’t know exactly how much longer.
“It will depend on how the scar tissue starts to heal, the first week or so, the mobility of that. Let’s see, it’s very difficult to say.”
Jamie Carragher has tipped Gabriel Martinelli to cover well for Saka in terms of goals alongside Gabriel Jesus.
While Martinelli has acknowledged how difficult it is to replace Saka, he says Arsenal’s attackers back themselves to step up in his absence.
He told TNT Sports: “Yeah, I mean, I think no one can replace him, he’s one of the best players in the world.
“But we know our potential, we know the team we have and we trust in ourselves and we are going to try our best for the club and for the team as well.”
