Micah Richards admits he’d like Premier League VAR rule change after what happened in Tottenham vs Arsenal match
Micah Richards has called for the Premier League to make a VAR rule change following an incident which was missed in Arsenal’s win over Tottenham.
The Gunners came from behind against their North London rivals to win 2-1 as Son Heung-min’s opener was cancelled out by goals from Leandro Trossard a𒈔nd Dominic Solanke’s own goal.
Mikel Arteta’s side managed to make another corner count as Gabriel’s header was turned in off Dominic Solanke, but for Tottenham, it was yet more misery from a set-piece.
But, there was big controversy surrounding the corner being awarded to the hosts and Richards is keen for VAR to start taking a look at such incide🐷nts.

Micah Richards calls for VAR rule change after Tottenham vs Arsenal
Micah Richards has admitted he would like VAR to start taking a look at incidents like the one which saw Arsenal awarded a corner, despite the ball touching Leandro Tross൲ard last.
Meanwhile, Alan Sheꦇarer is not so keen on the rule changing, although the former Premier League striker thinks the referee, Simon Hooper, was wrong to award a corner.
Shearer told 🐈: “It wasn’t a corner. It’s a poor d♐ecision. It clearly comes off Trossard last.”
When aske♛d by Mark Chapman whether they would like VAR to get involved, Richards admitted🦂: “Yes, I would agree with that. But we are going to get ourselves in knots.”
Meanwhile, Sheare🐲r offered a different view by claiming: “I wouldn’t like it, no. They have had problems with VAR anyway, so it would give them extra responsibilities!”
Alan Shearer slams Tottenham’s set-piece defending
Tottenham’s inability to defen🧔d🍎 corners has been slammed many times this season and Shearer was once again critical of Ange Posteco👍glou’s side.
Radu Dragusin failed to deal with Gabriel and the Bꩲrazilian was able to head the ball off Solanke and intওo the back of the net.
“How many times have we said it, again Tottenham c🔥onceded from the corner. They have tried to reduce the numbers, they have left two up to try and reduce the numbers in the box, but again they are all over the place,” Shearer added.
“Gabriel and Dragusin – he wants it more than hi🗹m, kno🐬ws he’s got the flight of the ball, and again Spurs were weak at a set piece. They have been punished again.”
