Mesut Ozil sends well wishes to Matteo Guendouzi as he completes Hertha loan
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has tweeted his support for Matteo Guendouzi, a move to Hertha Berlin on loan.
The French midfielder is embarking on a new chapter having fallen out of favour at the Emirates Stadium in 2020.
Guendouzi leaves having not played for the club since the Brighton game in June, which saw the youngster involved in a fracas with Neal Maupay at the final whistle.

Mikel Arteta reportedly took a dim view of the player’s behaviour that day, and Guendouzi has not been seen in Arsenal colours since.
His future had been up in the air ever since the incident, and it was today announced that the former Lorient starlet would be heading to the Bundesliga.
Fans will be hoping he can enjoy a good spell with the German side and perhaps come back a better player.
One man who has been pretty close with Guendouzi is Ozil, who knows all about not being selected for matchday squads.
Mi Bebeee ❤️ all the best for you in Germany. Show them that you’re a great football player 💪🏼 Will miss you here Bro 🙏🏼

Ozil has been frozen out himself at the Emirates by Arteta, but took to social media to wish Guendouzi well at Hertha.
He said: “Mi Bebeee. All the best for you in Germany. Show them that you’re a great football player. I’ll miss you here Bro.”
Clearly the pair have a good relationship – perhaps one that has been strengthened recently through their mutual struggles for game time – and hopefully this move for Guendouzi does him the world of good.
